Subject: Is it from the bible?

Kam Wah,

There is a quotation at the last paragraph of my article.

I thouht it's from the Bible, but my friends said no.

Could you tell where is it from ? Or advise me how to

change the wording. The quotation is : let those with light

light up (the lives of others), let those with warmth warm

up (the hearts of others).

I've also made some minor ammendments to my article.

Dear Man Keung,

For the word warmth, check:

http://bible.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBible/bible.cgi?word=warmth&section=0&version=nlt&new=1&showtools=1&oq=heat

Only a few appearances, but do not seem applicable to Chiu Sir.

For the word light, check:

http://bible.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBible/bible.cgi?word=light&section=2&version=nlt&new=1&showtools=1&oq=light

There are 73 appearances in the New Testament alone. Relevant to Chiu Sir could be the following:

MT 5:15 Don't hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all.

Lu 1:79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and?in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace."

Lu 11: 36 If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight is shining on you.

2 Cor 4:6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Light and heat/warmth do not go together in a single verse. But rather light and salt go together, meaning Christians should be different; to unveil darkness (light); to preserve good things (salt); to sacrifice to order to make something good (salt); to battle against germs (salt); be change agents (salt);......

Hope above could help. If you ask a pastor or similar, you can find more exact answers.
