Man Keung and Kam Wah,
I have encountered e-mail problem with my local internet provider and it seemed to be getting back to normal. I might have lost a number of e-mail messages that I sent in early June. I will have to check what I have lost during those few days. My primary server at home was also down for a couple of days due to problem with Windows 98. I have since fixed the problem and things are also slowly getting back to normal.
I have e-mail Dollarhost to activate our e-mail accounts. The offices are closed now and they will probably deal with our request in the morning.
The final cover looks fine and we should proceed with sending a draft copy to Wai Shum and family for final review.
I don't really know my return date to HK as yet. Things are really hectic in Canada as there are much to do with a young company and we are under-staffed (though we have expanded from a staff of two in February to a staff of seven by June. I plan to hire a couple more in the next couple of weeks. I will probably return to Hong Kong on June 25th or later. The exact date still needs to be negotiated with Maunsell.
Regards,
Jim

Jim,
(1) I've uploaded files to the new web server and the web is running
now.
(2) Can users have their own web address, as before? Please confirm. If not, I would advise creating directories for those wishing to publish his personal web site, eg www.kamching.com/clam
(3) I would suggest kam wah and I use your account to log in for web admin purpose.
(4) Please email to mailmigrate@dollarhost.com to activate the new mail
system.

Subject: kamching email account
Date: Mon, 12 Jun 2000 00:47:31 +1000
From: Man Keung
Hi everybody!
I've just created 11 email accounts for kamching.com
(1)The usernames are: cchui(man keung), clam(kam wah), mlam(mark lam),
bzung(bobby zung),
cau(chris au), hlee(hung cheong), ssze(stephen sze), bleung(leung bun),
kalun, kayan, kayue.
The email address format is username@kamching.com eg my email address
is cchui@kamching.com
and kayan is kayan@kamching.com. If you want to change your username,
please let me know as soon as possible.
Since Ka Kui, Sin Hung and David have their own domain email account,
I am not sure whether they
need a kamching.com account or not. Please notify me if you want one
for yourself or family member.
We can set up as many as 20 email accounts.
(2) For the sake of simplicity, I've assigned .....password. You should
change your
password by going to www.dollarhost.com ( our web host) , use your
email address and password to login.
( please wait for 2 days until the new mail system has been activated
)
(3) Each email account is given 10 mbs of storage space. ( really generous! )
(4) You can access your email in 2 ways:
(A) from the web by going to www.dollarhost.com and use your email
address to login.
(B) Or you can use your email program to retrieve email. In that case,
you have to set up an account in your
email program. Since the Netscape messager cannot host 2 accounts,
you have to use Outlook Express
for multiple accounts. ( In the case of Bobby who is sharing an email
account with his daughter and has 2
PCs he can just set up the kamching email in his PC's Netscape messenger.)
Settings are:
POP Server (Incoming Mail Server): mail.kamching.com
SMTP Server (Outgoing Mail Server): mail.kamching.com ( or your
ISP's mail server address )
Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server User Name: user%kamching.com
(5) Attached are instructions from Dollarhost.com for setting up the
kamching email account:
................
(6) The email system of kamching.com has yet to be activated. Please
be patient.

Subject: A baby girl was born

From: Daisy Chiu
hi Man Keung, Charles and everybody
I have met Ka Lun's baby girl yesterday and I am so glad that I become Auntie Daisy again !!
Tung Tung (Ka Lun's eldest son) named the baby as On On and this has to be finalised by their parents.
We are all very happy and hope that Joe will recover from the delivery very soon.
Back to the CD and brochure, thanks to Man Keung, Jim and Charles for their effort and very hard work. You have done more than you have to and I am sorry that I only completed 75% of my work. I still have to go for another 3 - 4 paragraphs and then I will send it to my friend for editing and Chinese typesetting.
In the meantime, could you plesase let me know what kind of file should I send by e-mail to you ?
I have also discussed with Auntie Wai Sum that it would be quite sensible if the brochure (or anyother output of work) could be sent to ber for a quick check (I mean mainly on dates and discription on pictures) before distribution. What do you think ??
Also, I am very happy for you to go for such a joyful trip with good old friends. How relaxing !! I wish I could do the same but all our plans have to be pended until my husband finish his Inspector exam which will happen 21 and 22 of June.
Please take care and will come back to you when my work has finished. Again, please forgive me about the delay. I really have little time to write every week, only when I am waiting for my daughter to be off from school. Believe me, it's not much fun to do your writing @ McDonald's restaurant while they are playing their endless Mac fries song.,
