I had been off line for the past week, so as to concentrate on
the brochure project.
The brochure has just been completed - at last. Sorry for the delay.
But it really grows to a big project which takes long time to finish.
It now comprises of 1 cover page, 1 preface page, 3 articles of 18
pages, and 33 pages of photos and documents, totalling 53 pages.
The photos column has 151 photos and over 20 documents, while
the 3 articles have 29 photos. The total number of photos included
is 180, quite enough to reflect the major activities of Chiu sir and
Kamching.
The brochure has been printed on photo quality inkjet paper, using
my Epson 740 inkjet printer. They are then inserted into the clear
pockets
of plastic folder ( 1 folder of 20 pockets plus 10 refills). I choose
the
clearfront type, so that the first page would be the cover page.
I still have to wait for some photos of the funeral and the memorial
hike from Wai Sum and Bobby. I might also mail one copy to
Wai Sum for correction and ammendment before final output.
Wai Sum finds it very difficult to express her complicated
feeling in writing. Neither did I receive articles from Ka Yan
and Ka Yu. I understand it's hard for the relatives to write and would
rather let kamching brothers do the job. I would really appreciate
if Ka Kui, Sin Hung and others would write a few sentences so that
I can group them together as the fourth article. The purpose of this
is to show more names on the brochure, just like signing the guest
book. I worked on the project overnight on the eve before Jim's
arrival in Sydney, and would like to see others putting in extra
effort, just to make the brochure more representative of the life
of Chiu sir. The cover page and 2 photo pages are attached for
your comment.
I have to delay the CD Rom and the web projet since
I have been recruited as a dealer of an accounting software package
and would thus be very busy in the next four weeks.

From: Charles Lam
Dear Man Keung,
As you may notice, I have started 'Charles Lam's Column' at /~clam.
Please comment for enhancements on layout, contents, objectives, etc.
For example, I don't know how to link my email adress to a Netscape
'New
message'.
This column will not be for advertising and conducting business, until
the Kamching.com objectives are formally agreed upon by all concerned.
It is for the time being for airing my personal views, introducing
myself, triggering sharing and social action opportunities, adhering
firmly to the Kamching spirit, which as I believe, is not confined
to
hiking, climbing and canoeing.
regards,
Charles.
